My Pecha Kucha

This week, I presented my Pecha Pucha and I think it went quite well. I focused on Minimalism, a design movement that I believe is very relevant in today’s society. Whilst researching for this assessment, I came across some very fascinating information that I had never focused on before. In my presentation, I explored individuals who influenced Minimalistic Design, how Minimalism relates to other design movements, and what other design trends fall under Minimalism. I portrayed information on World War 1, Kazimir Malevich and Marcel Duchamp. Timing my speech with the slides was quite tough as it was difficult to juggle both in the moment. But under that pressure, I think I timed it well form what I could see in my peripheral vision. This actually surprised me as I thought my speech was way too short for the timing of the 20 second slides. I ended up improvising and sometimes hat to cut unnecessary sentences out of my speech. Personally, I feel quite numb throughout public speaking. So, coming out of the presentation, my memory of the performance was pretty scarce. Overall, I think I did a good job and I put in the effort which made me pleased with how I went.
