Whilst working hard on my Pecha Kucha, I managed to find time to complete this weeks reading “What is Post Digital”. The reading started off by discussing a meme that showed a man in a park with a typewriter. It has been shown that this meme has caused a lot of debate. I agree that this picture is a great example of post-digital, as the man has clearly chosen to use a technology that is still suitable for the job, rather than using the latest media device.

I also found it interesting to read about how people like to play records these days rather than iPod’s. This is because records are more personal and interactive as you have to physically put a record on the player, instead of just simply pressing play and pause on a small device. Trends like this are spreading and people are starting use old fashioned devices like polaroid cameras. I personally love to use records and polaroids rather than new devices- even though technology is now created to make things more advanced and easy to use. I find I have more of a connection to retro devices because they are more unique and entertaining.
