Pecha Kucha Reviews

Bethany was one of the first few people to present her Pecha Kucha in our tutorial. She chose the topic of Colour in design history. The first two presentations before her were quite unrehearsed with the timing of the slides with the written speech. Saying this, for me, I think she was the first in the class to have good timing and collaboration between her palm cards and slides. She gave a very clear message along with fascinating information. The overall design of her slide was quite simple, and she used large images that corresponded greatly with what she was talking about. Occasionally, she would lack on her eye contact with others in the class. Overall, I think that Bethany did a great job, and it was clearly evident that she had put in a lot of work for this assessment task.

The second Pecha Kucha that I am reviewing is one that was presented by Nicola Black. I found myself very engaged with this particular Pecha Kucha as her voice was calm and steady. It was a nice change from hearing speeches that were read extremely fast in order to get as much information across. To me, Nicola had quality over quantity throughout her presentation about Fashion Design. I learnt things about this topic that I never knew, and I feel like it will impact on my future decisions toward clothing choices. Her presentation connected well with the timing of her speech. It was so fascinating to hear all of her examples on recycled and eco-friendly clothing here in Newcastle and where to get them.
