Starting DESN1002, I was unsure on what to expect. This has been my first semester of university and reflecting back on this course, I am pleased that this has been my first contexts class. It has been great to have a clearly structured week by week journey and I found the content interesting and easy to understand. I personally didn’t think that this course would have been a big interest of mine bit I now feel like I have learnt so much about the history of design.

Some of the readings this semester were very challenging and long, making it hard to register all of the information. Although, in depth discussions about them in our tutorials helped clarify them for me. I found the Pecha Kucha assessment interesting to complete as well as challenging due to the strict timing requirements. I am still working on my essay and I believe I have chosen a question that best suits my interests. I think it is going to help a lot to have another tutorial next week that will focus on our essay progress.
